In Kinshasa, the Programme for the Prevention of Juvenile Violence (PVJ) aims to improve young people's prospects through an integrated and participatory approach that combines youth infrastructure, vocational training, social support and youth participation. Implemented between 2019 and 2026 as part of German-Congolese cooperation, the programme contributes to violence prevention by creating opportunities for young people to develop vocational and social skills, engage with their communities and build more positive futures.

Launched in December 2018 with a €10.65 million budget, the ECPF was the first project at GOPA to carry the “facility” designation – signifying its unique, demand-driven approach to supporting the European Union’s strategic objectives in China.
