Bad Homburg / Brussels, 1 September 2026 – GOPA is positioning itself for the future with a new corporate structure designed to strengthen collaboration across disciplines and provide clients and partners with easier access to the full breadth of its expertise.
Going forward, GOPA will be organised around three focused pillar companies:
- GOPA Pro brings together consulting expertise in international cooperation.
- GOPA Tech represents engineering expertise in energy, water, architecture, transport infrastructure, and the entire field of the circular economy.
- GOPA Com. combines communication and public engagement expertise, supporting the effective communication of Europe, European values, and international partnerships.
At the centre of this transformation is the creation of GOPA Pro, which combines the complementary expertise and long-standing project implementation experience of the German companies GOPA AFC and GOPA Worldwide as well as the Belgian company GOPA PACE.
The newly formed consulting pillar within GOPA works alongside clients, communities, and other stakeholders to transform political ideas into real-world solutions. GOPA Pro’s diverse teams shape progress in societies and ecosystems globally by enabling people to develop skills through targeted consulting, training, and capacity building.
The new structure responds to significant shifts in international development cooperation. Global challenges such as geopolitical change, economic volatility, climate change, energy transition, migration, governance, digital transformation, fragile contexts, and social inclusion are increasingly interconnected. At the same time, technological developments, particularly artificial intelligence and data-based systems, are transforming the way projects are designed, managed, and implemented.

To mark this next chapter, GOPA is also launching its new website: www.gopa.eu. The new platform reflects the group’s identity and makes it easier for clients and partners to explore the full scope of GOPA’s technical expertise.
