ReSet the Trend

DG ENV Sustainable Textiles Campaign
The campaign was the first dedicated awareness-raising campaign promoting the EU Strategy for Sustainable and Circular Textiles, the first building block in a series of actions to promote the transformation of the textiles sector in a way that it contributes to Europe’s resilience and enables reducing the use of resources in times of crisis.
The overarching strategic objective of this campaign was to contribute to Europe’s vision and plan of becoming the first climate-neutral continent by 2050, while also addressing the multiple ongoing crises Europeans are facing – the cost-of-living crisis, the energy crisis, resource, climate and pollution crises and biodiversity loss - and the need for achieving strategic independence, the war in Ukraine as a threat to peace in Europe.
The campaign engaged young professionals, young parents and students between 18 and 35 years old to take actions individually and collectively to make fast fashion “out of fashion”, to play their part in making fashion more durable, reusable, repairable, recyclable, ethical and sustainable.
