Advancing Organic Agriculture in Ukraine
Cooperation in Organic Agriculture Project
The "Cooperation in Organic Agriculture (COA) - Phase II" project, funded by BMLEH and launched in August 2020, is actively strengthening Ukraine’s organic agriculture sector. The project aims to enhance the quality and diversity of organic products by building competencies and reinforcing institutional structures. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to foster a robust framework for organic agriculture, promote sustainable practices, and support Ukraine’s alignment with EU standards - thereby unlocking new export opportunities and advancing the country’s EU accession aspirations.
Additionally, the project has provided significant support to organic farms and small-scale agricultural structures, for example by supplying batteries, solar panels, and other essential resources. Since the outbreak of the war, the project has demonstrated particular flexibility, enabling a rapid response to emerging challenges.
