Key Expert 2: Project Coordinator and Sustainable Value Chain Expert

The expert will be responsible for assignments requiring expertise on sustainable value chain development. The expert will also be acting as deputy Team Leader in the absence of the Team Leader and permanent coordinator of the pool of Non-Key Experts.
Qualifications and skills
• University degree in natural science, social science, business management, development, law. In the absence of a degree, professional experience of at least 3 years in the field of value chain development in developing economies, additional to the requirements set out below. A masters’ degree or higher in the same fields will be considered an asset.
• Coordination and communication skills, as evidenced by previous assignments in requiring engagement with a plurality of stakeholders in dynamic and culturally diversified professional environments;
• Excellent drafting and reporting skills to be demonstrated by highlighting relevant responsibilities in the expert’s track record;
General professional experience
• At least 2 years of professional experience in the area of partnership development in the public or private sector;
• Experience coordinating teams, pools of experts, or consultants will be considered an asset;
Specific professional experience
• At least 4 years’ professional experience entailing analyses and strategy development in the field of sustainable value chain development;
• If this professional experience is in the context of programmes focusing on green economy, climate, energy, transport and/or digital, it will be considered as an asset;
• Relevant professional expertise in these fields in Asia will be considered an asset;
Language skills
• Excellent writing and speaking skills in English;
• Fluency in Tagalog will be considered a strong asset.
