International Team Leader
Objective of the Project: To support the Project Management Unit (PMU) in achieving efficient and proper preparation and implementation of the Project for Promoting Sustainable Horticulture in Haryana, with the ultimate aim to promote sustainable horticulture, improve farmers’ income, and strengthen the horticulture value chain in Haryana.
Project Region: Haryana

Perform overall project management (time/schedule management, quality control, budget management, safety management);

Conduct a sensitization program for PGs, Project officials such as PMU, DOH;

Conduct periodical progress meetings to monitor the project progress and results;

Make coordination among government organizations and other donor agencies;

Conduct public relations activities related to the project contents and results;

Prepare and conduct foreign and domestic trainings and study tours;

Guide and manage national consultant works and outputs;

In case of accidents during the construction, assist the Employer to report to JICA the details of such accidents in manner reasonably requested by

JICA; and

Prepare and submit reports to PMU, DPMUs, DOH and JICA, which are detailed in Chapter 6 in relation to the implementation of the Project.
Education:
- MS in Agriculture / Horticulture or allied sectors
Experience:
- 20 years’ work experience in horticulture/agriculture-related projects (Preference should be given to Horticulture experience);
- Two comprehensive agriculture development projects in which he/she served as team leader or co-team leader.
- Two agriculture-related projects in South Asian countries, preferably India; and
- Preference should be given to the person having work experience in donor funded projects.
Language (English):
- Proficient in writing and speaking
Regional Experience:
- Familiarity and experience in India
