Communications and Visibility Expert (SNKE) - EU–Philippines Tech Forum

About the job
The EU–Philippines Tech Forum 2026, to be held on 14th October 2026, will bring together European and Philippine stakeholders to discuss opportunities for cooperation in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Connectivity (5G/6G) and Earth Observation and Space. The Forum will place a strong emphasis on private-sector participation and business-to-business engagement.
What you will do

To oversee the communication and visibility workstream for the Forum and ensure effective outreach, participant mobilisation and visibility for the European Union, Global Gateway and the EU Tech Business Offer.


Tasks


• Develop and oversee implementation of the communication and visibility strategy.
• Manage and supervise the communications agency contracted to support the Forum.
• Ensure compliance with EU communication and visibility requirements.
• Oversee the preparation of communication materials and visibility products.
• Support participant outreach and mobilisation activities.
• Coordinate media engagement activities before, during and after the Forum.
• Supervise preparation of media packages, press releases, briefing materials and social media content – working with the EU Delegation’s Head of Communications.
• Ensure coherent messaging across all communication channels.
• Prepare the script for the master of ceremonies and other event communication materials as required, under the oversight of the Lead Coordinator and Technical Expert.
• Ensure appropriate visibility for the European Union, Global Gateway and the EU Tech Business Offer, following the visual identity of the Global Gateway and EU.
• Contribute to reporting on communication and visibility activities.

Your qualifications

•    At least 8-10 years of relevant professional experience.
•    Demonstrated experience managing communication campaigns or visibility activities for high-level events.
•    Experience working with communication agencies and supervising outsourced communication activities.
•    Strong drafting and media engagement skills.
•    University degree in communications, journalism, public affairs, marketing or a related field.
•    Excellent command of English.

Expert Location
Resident in Manila/ Philippines during the assignment and know the environment well (having worked with/ for EU on high-level events should be ideal).
