GOPA Tech provides professional engineering and advisory services for battery and other energy storage technologies, including Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), thermal energy storage, and pumped hydropower storage.

GOPA Tech supports a wide range of storage applications such as demand shifting, peak reduction, frequency regulation, voltage support, transmission and distribution (T&D) congestion relief, and the integration of variable renewable resources. Services span the full project lifecycle, from site selection and feasibility studies to system design, tender preparation, and implementation supervision.

Tech has delivered energy storage projects across numerous countries, including the United Arab Emirates (e.g., the 50 MW NGK Battery Energy Storage project in Abu Dhabi City and 200 MW Battery Energy Storage substations), Tanzania, Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia, Burkina Faso, Rwanda, Haiti, Brazil, Ukraine, Mali, Chad, Maldives, and Serbia. These assignments have included BESS sizing, design review, grid integration studies, and capacity-building and training.
