Flagship project
Supporting EC internal services, particularly Eurostat, in the production of official statistics
Supported the day-to-day production of European statistics by the European Commission, and statistics related activities (e.g. dissemination, communication, etc.) through more than 50 individual projects in diverse statistical areas.
This is a framework contract. The outputs are diverse and are linked to each of the specific contracts implemented; the key highlights below are a non-exhaustive list of outputs produced.
The challenge
Diversity of the statistical domains covered and phases in the production process of official statistics. New emerging topics in data science covered, including AI, machine learning, web scraping, data visualisation, statistical programming, etc. Highly skilled and diversified consultants required to be mobilised in very short timeframes, engaged to work directly for the European Commission as external consultants of GOPA.
Our goal
Offer technical services to support the regular production of statistics and statistics-related products by the EU Statistical Office (Eurostat) or other European Commission Directorates General.
Our approach
This is a framework contract, which requires the mobilisation of specialised consultants for working in support of the European Commission DGs, particularly Eurostat. The approach for the implementation of the framework contract consisted in: (1) structured sourcing and mobilisation of qualified consultants, and (2) clear and controlled management processes.
Impact in numbers
The framework contract successfully supported the European Commission DGs (particularly Eurostat, but as well DG JUST and DG AGRI) in the implementation of day-to-day tasks related to statistics and data related products.
