Strengthening the horticulture value chain

The project aims to enhance financial access and strengthen the horticulture value chain by providing USD 200 million in loans to farmers and agro-related SMEs through accredited PFIs, and USD 7 million for technical assistance. The project supports the development of the agriculture sector and employment promotion by improving the export capacity of horticulture crops, while also building the capacity of PFIs and end-users in credit risk management, environmental and social management, and women mainstreaming. Additionally, it offers training and advisory services to horticulture crop growers and agro-related companies, and develops strategies for seedling development, greenhouses, processing, product quality improvement, and logistics.
