Restoring the Kitchener Drain and Its Catchment
The Kitchener Drain programme combines wastewater infrastructure, operational planning and safeguards to reduce pollution across one of Egypt's most important agricultural catchments.

Our approach

Investments include new sewer networks and pumping stations together with rehabilitation of wastewater-treatment facilities, allowing collection and treatment capacity to improve in parallel.
