Combining 37.5 MWp of Solar Power with Battery Storage in Boundiali

The Boundiali project combines a 37.5 MWp solar plant with 10 MWh of storage to supply renewable electricity with greater flexibility.

The challenge

A grid-connected solar plant must manage variable output, meet permitting and safety requirements and deliver equipment quality across a large site. Adding battery storage introduces further control and commissioning interfaces that must be coordinated with the plant and network from the outset.

Our goal

Boundiali was developed to add 37.5 MWp of solar generation and a 10 MWh / 5 MW battery to Côte d'Ivoire's electricity system. The combined scheme aims to increase renewable supply while using storage to provide a more manageable power profile.

Our approach

Design and permit preparation established the technical basis before tendering. Construction was supervised across the PV plant, storage system and grid interfaces, with health, safety and environmental requirements integrated into site control. Testing, commissioning, operator training and warranty follow-up supported the transition from completed works to reliable service.
