The challenge
Congestion, deteriorated road sections and unsafe conditions for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists constrain mobility and increase travel risk in Abidjan. Rehabilitation must improve the road itself while managing traffic, protecting people during construction and maintaining quality across complex urban works.
Our goal
The Abidjan Transport Project makes movement through the city safer and more reliable for drivers, pedestrians and cyclists. Alongside rehabilitated pavements and structural works, it seeks to improve how construction is managed, protect communities during delivery and strengthen the companies involved in implementing urban transport infrastructure.
Our approach

Environmental, social, health and safety oversight protects workers and affected communities, while training helps participating companies improve their own delivery practices.
