About the role
The GOPA Tech UAE office is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer with specialised expertise in PV thermal storage and strong proficiency in Thermoflex modelling for a PV plant project.
Key responsibilities
- Perform thermal design and modelling using PPSD/Thermoflex for power systems
- Conduct detailed thermal performance and system analysis
- Design and analyse heat exchangers, shell-and-tube systems, heaters and steam systems
- Execute detailed engineering calculations including thermal performance assessment
- Support thermal and mechanical design aspects of PV thermal storage applications
- Work with thermal process units, transfer systems and exchangers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in thermal design (boilers, heaters, exchangers)
- Proven Thermoflex/PPSD modelling knowledge
- Strong technical understanding of heat transfer, thermodynamics and fluid mechanics
- Plant engineering experience in thermal or process environments (advantageous)
