About the Programme

The Climate Policy Support Programme is a collaborative initiative between Morocco and Germany designed to support implementation of Morocco’s climate reform agenda. The programme addresses climate pressures including water scarcity and extreme weather while advancing the country’s climate objectives.

What You Will Do

The programme requires a diverse expert pool providing flexible, demand-based support across multiple specializations. Experts will contribute in areas including:

• Climate change
• Public finance and economics
• Law
• Energy
• Water
• Environment, social and gender issues
• Communications
• Technical fields (IT, graphics, GIS, training)

Expert inputs are mobilized based on proposals validated through the programme’s steering structure.

Required Expertise Profiles

Climate Change: International climate experts, national climate specialists, simulation experts, hydraulics and climate change experts

Public Finance & Economy: Climate finance specialists, pricing/tariff regulation experts, energy economists with modeling expertise

Law: Sector regulation specialists, particularly energy law

Energy: Systems engineers, storage technology experts, grid balancing specialists, energy modelers, electric mobility experts

Water: International water resources experts, hydrogeological specialists, hydrological isotope experts, water project finance experts

Environment/Social/Gender: Professionals versed in IFC and World Bank standards, gender specialists

Communications: Visibility and marketing experts, workshop facilitators

Technical Support: IT developers, graphics specialists, trainers, GIS experts

Your Qualifications

• Advanced university degree (Master’s or engineering equivalent)
• Fluency in French (written and spoken)
• Arabic or English knowledge valued depending on assignment
• Understanding of Morocco’s sector developments and international best practices
