About the role
GOPA Tech’s Abu Dhabi office is recruiting an experienced civil engineering professional with a strong background in high-voltage infrastructure projects. The position oversees site activities and ensures quality, safety compliance and stakeholder coordination in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
What you will do
- Supervise site surveys, installation and inspection of civil works for HV overhead line projects (400kV/220kV/132kV)
- Oversee trench excavation, cable trough installation and inspection activities for HV underground cable systems
- Supervise civil works for substation modifications, including bay extensions and equipment container installations
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards and quality requirements
- Stay closely involved in site execution and coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders
- Lead NOC, permit and inspection coordination with the relevant authorities
- Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and commissioning
- Document and report all site activities
Your profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Minimum 15 years of experience in high-voltage OHL and substation projects (400kV/220kV)
- Strong knowledge of civil specifications and authority requirements for NOCs and permits
- Familiarity with international standards and best practices
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced, multicultural environments
